Otkritie Bank Arena is the home stadium of the Spartak Moscow football club and can accommodate 45,360 spectators. The arena is the second largest in Moscow after the Luzhniki Stadium.
In addition to football matches, the stadium hosts large-scale music concerts. Over the years, Rammstein, Depeche Mode, Guns N’ Roses, Mashina Vremeni, Ed Sheeran performed at the Otkritie Bank Arena.
Since 2014, the Otkritie Bank Arena has been repeatedly recognized as the best stadium in the country.

June 2, 2007 The ceremony of laying of the first stone on the site of the future stadium took place.
February 19, 2013. It became known that under the terms of a 6-year contract with Otkritie Bank, the new stadium will be named Otkritie Arena.
August 21, 2014. A monument to the four Starostin brothers was unveiled at the football field next to stand B. And on the square in front of the stadium there is a sculptural figure of a gladiator on a pedestal 24.5 meters high.
August 27, 2014. The Spartak metro station was opened near the arena. On that day, the stadium was visited by Russian Minister of Sports Vitaly Mutko, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
August 30, 2014. At the Otkritie Arena, in the presence of 8,000 spectators, a friendly match was held between the teams of veterans of Spartak.
September 5, 2014. The opening match took place between Spartak and Red Star Belgrade. The game was attended by 37,734 spectators. Spartak defender Dmitry Kombarov scored the first goal at the new stadium.
September 14, 2014. In the first official match at the Spartak stadium in the seventh round of the Premier League of the 2014/15 season, Spartak beat Torpedo Moscow with a score of 3: 1. Two goals in this game were scored by Quincy Promes, one by Jose Jurado. The meeting was attended by 36,058 spectators.
October 12, 2014. The Russian team played its first match at the Otkritie Arena. As part of the qualifying tournament of the European Championship - 2016, the national team played a draw with the national team of Moldova - 1:1.
October 12, 2015. A monument to the legendary red-and-white midfielder Fedor Fedorovich Cherenkov, after whom the Spartak Academy is named, was unveiled on the square near stand D.
March 26, 2016. Before the friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Lithuania, the Spartak Museum was opened, which combined a rich collection of exhibits and the latest technologies within its walls.
October 29, 2016. A stadium attendance record was set: 44,884 spectators attended the derby between Spartak and CSKA in the 12th round of the Russian Championship.
May 7, 2017. The defeat of Zenit from Terek in St. Petersburg guaranteed Spartak the championship for the first time in 16 years. That same evening, happy fans began to flock to the sculpture of a gladiator in the square in front of the arena.
May 17, 2017. After the final whistle in the Spartak-Terek match, thousands of fans ran onto the stadium lawn, where the team was awarded the championship cup.
June-July 2017. The arena hosted four matches of the Confederations Cup, including Cameroon-Chile, Russia-Portugal, Chile-Australia and Portugal-Mexico.
September 26, 2017. The first match of the Champions League in the history of the stadium took place. Spartak played a draw with Liverpool - 1:1. The Brazilian midfielder of the red and white Fernando opened the scoring with a beautiful free-kick.
June-July 2018. The stadium has hosted five World Cup matches. As part of the group tournament, the arena hosted meetings Argentina - Iceland, Poland - Senegal, Belgium - Tunisia and Serbia - Brazil. Colombia and England met in the 1/8 finals.
During the official matches of the Confederations Cup - 2017 and the World Cup - 2018, the arena was called "Spartak Stadium".
Summer 2019. For the first time, the stadium underwent a renovation of the lawn, where Spartak won the long-awaited championship, and the best teams of the planet fought at the World Cup.
November 4, 2019. The match of the Russian Premier League against Arsenal became Spartak's 100th match at the home stadium.
January 9, 2020. On the day of Igor Netto's 90th birthday, a commemorative plaque was unveiled on stand C, which bears the name of the legendary Spartak captain. And on July 31, 2022, the grand opening of the monument to Igor Alexandrovich took place.
